In the field of Transportation, the Group has specialized in the provision, operation and management of top of the line, state of art, most modern Euro standard buses and luxury coaches for facilitating the ever increasing comfort requirements of the inter city commuters by emphasizing the implementation of management systems, achieving punctuality of operations by the recruitment of highly trained operators both operational on board and ground staff, skilled passenger handling persons, motivated teams of people ready to facilitate the passengers at the arrival terminals, during the course of the journeys and at the terminating stations. Recently the company has decided to move to Pakistan to provide a wider range of professional services to the Governmental and other interested bodies concerned with the establishment; development and provisioning of high class inter city commuter services.

Even in Pakistan the MONOLITE International (FZC) is not new to the field of transportation. They wish to bring foreign investment into the local transport sector. The company has been registered as a foreign branch office with Securities and Exchange Commission and intends to run and maintain intercity transportation system on different routes in the province of Punjab.

President of the company Mr. Farrukh Nawaz Chughtai is highly experienced, well-traveled and seasoned businessman who established his business in a foreign country. He achieved successful operation of his company in a short span of time and now is held on the board of Directors of many renowned companies in the Middle East and Europe. He belongs to a family, which has a vast experience of running intercity bus operations in Pakistan. The name of Rahbar travels needs no introduction being one of the most successful bus operating companies in Lahore. Mr. Majid Zaman the director of Rahbar Travels, will run intercity operations of MONOLITE International (FZC) in the capacity of one of the Director of the company and now Rahbar Travels is being merged with the Present management of MONOLITE International (Transportation & Cargo Division) setting up the private bus station with all facilities.

The present management of MONOLITE transport and cargo division set up a private bus station with all the facilities such as air-condition waiting hall, booking office, separate toilets for ladies/gent, space for prayers, retiring room for drivers, tuck shop, telephone booth etc at 7-Empress road Lahore in 1992 under the name and style of Rahber Travels and applied to the Government of Punjab for grant of a license to launch its bus operation there-form as per provisions of motor vehicle ordinance 1965(MVO1965) and the rules framed there under.

The site was inspected by the Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Superintendent Traffic Police Lahore, Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Lahore, and representative of some other department. On issuance of the requisite no objection certificates the case of Rahbar travel along with some other cases came up in a meeting of RTA for consideration, but the request of Rahber Travels was turned down. Thereafter Rahber Travels invoked write jurisdiction of the Hon 'able Lahore High Court Lahore which after adjudication of the matter in its entire perspective, set-aside the proceeding of RTA with a direction to it to considered the case afresh. According RTA in its subsequent meeting considered the case of rahber Travels and approved it.

The MVO1965 requires that a company stand have a minimal fleet of 8 vehicles to run the service. On fulfillment of this requirement sectary RTA issued a license to Rahber Travels in 1993 to launch its operation. Initially the service was commenced between Lahore-Fasilabad and Lahore-Rawalpindi/Islamabad. With the passage of time the fleet of Rahber Travel rose to about 50 buses and the travel facilities were extended to other cities such as multan, Bahawalpur, Rahim yar khan, Sadiqabad, Murdan, Sawat etc.

During December 1998 under verbal order of the then CM Punjab all the sanctioned company stands existing in Lahore at that time (about 8 number) were forced to shift their buses to the yard of Badami-bagh general bus stand under the contention that intercity buses were a cause of congestion and pollution. This logic was and is beyond comprehension as urban buses being stage carriages take up/set down passengers after short interval on various routes with in a city, while express intercity buses being a type of contact carriages pick up passengers from the premises of a company stand, embark on their journey that ends at a stand/terminal in another city. The so called cause of congestion/pollution attributed to intercity buses vis-à-vis urban buses need to be assessed properly for revival of the company stand in Lahore which already stood sanctioned earlier; as intercity buses ejected from the private stands and plying under compulsion from the general bus stand can not extend the same level of quality service to the commuters as was being extended to the company stands.

The forgoing aspects has been sop lighted in good faith on the basis of our past experience in the transport field extending our a period of about 10 years. With this background we are capable to successfully meet any challenge associated with travel activity and tourism industry.
